Saudi Supplies Over 243 Million Goods for Pilgrims

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce says more than 243 million essential goods have been supplied to markets and retail outlets in Makkah and the holy sites since the start of Dhul Hijjah, as part of preparations for the Hajj season.

The ministry said the supplies are aimed at ensuring steady availability of basic needs for pilgrims, including bread, bottled water, dairy products, juices, soft drinks, and ice.

According to the figures released, over 121.6 million bottles of water, 82.2 million packs of dairy and beverages, 31.3 million loaves of bread, and more than 7.9 million blocks of ice have been distributed.

Authorities also said production has been increased to meet rising demand during Hajj, with daily output now running into tens of millions of units across key food and drink categories.

The ministry added that inspection teams are monitoring markets and commercial outlets to ensure continuous supply and prevent shortages, while maintaining service quality for pilgrims.
