Israel deployed Iron Dome in UAE during Iran war

Report says Israeli air defence system and personnel were stationed in the Emirates, signalling deeper regional military coordination during conflict with Iran

Fresh revelations have exposed the expanding military nexus between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, as Tel Aviv reportedly deployed its Iron Dome air defense system on Emirati soil during the ongoing US-backed war against Iran.

According to a report cited by Axios, Israel dispatched an Iron Dome battery along with dozens of military personnel to operate it inside the UAE in the early phase of the latest escalation, marking the first time the system has been stationed outside Israeli territory and the first instance of Israeli troops operating openly in an Arab country.

The unprecedented move underscores the deepening alignment between Israel, the UAE, and the United States, widely viewed across the region as a secret coordinated front against Iran.

However, analysts note that the deployment has done little to alter the battlefield reality, as Iranian retaliatory strikes have continued to penetrate Israeli defenses, raising serious questions about the effectiveness of the much-publicized system.

The development has triggered widespread anger, particularly as it comes amid Israel’s ongoing military genocides in Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, and Yemen, alongside repeated strikes on Iranian territory. Critics argue that such actions reflect an aggressive regional doctrine backed politically and militarily by Washington.

For many in the region, the sight of Israeli forces operating within an Arab state represents a profound shift, and for some, a betrayal especially against the backdrop of mounting civilian casualties and destruction linked to Israeli operations since late 2023.

The deployment also builds on the controversial 2020 normalization agreements, which opponents have long criticized as strategic alignments prioritizing Zionist cooperation over regional solidarity.

Economic ties between Israel and the UAE have expanded significantly, but such partnerships risk undermining broader regional stability.

Analysts further argue that the UAE’s increasing reliance on Israeli military systems reflects a deeper strategic dependency, raising concerns about sovereignty and long-term geopolitical positioning, particularly as global criticism of Israeli military actions continues to intensify.

The episode highlights how the US-Israel alliance is not only reshaping conflict dynamics with Iran but also redrawing political and military alignments across the Middle East, often at the expense of regional cohesion and public sentiment.
