Turkish Ally Calls for Muslim Unity Against Israel

A senior Turkish opposition leader has called on the Muslim world to unite in response to Israel’s military actions in Gaza and other Palestinian territories, urging the creation of a proposed “Jerusalem Pact” to strengthen cooperation among Islamic countries.
Devlet Bahçeli, leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), made the remarks during a parliamentary meeting in Ankara on Tuesday, where he strongly criticised Israel’s actions in the region.
He said the situation in Gaza represents a serious test for the Muslim world, warning that silence and division among Islamic countries would amount to moral and political failure.
Bahçeli argued that disunity among Muslim nations is being exploited, adding that stronger coordination is needed to resist external pressures and protect shared interests.
He called for a wider regional alliance built around Palestine and Jerusalem, saying such a framework could help restore stability and strengthen cooperation across the Islamic world.
The Turkish politician also described the current global order as weakening, claiming that international institutions are losing influence while power shifts toward other regions.
