NAHCON Opens 2027 Hajj Registration, Extends Payments to 2030

Prospective pilgrims can now begin paying for the 2027 Hajj, while those planning for the 2028, 2029 and 2030 pilgrimages have also been invited to make advance deposits under a new early-payment arrangement.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), in a statement signed by its Management, announced the commencement of deposits for the 2027 Hajj and advance payments for the 2028–2030 pilgrimage seasons.

The Commission said the decision followed resolutions reached with the State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies and Commissions.

Under the arrangement, intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj are required to make an initial minimum deposit of ₦5 million, or such amount as may be determined by their respective state pilgrims’ boards.

NAHCON said the early payment system is designed to help intending pilgrims spread the financial cost of the pilgrimage over time while enabling the Commission and state pilgrims’ boards to make early arrangements for accommodation, feeding, transportation, Masha’ir services and other logistics in Makkah, Madinah and the Holy Sites.

In what marks an expansion of its advance planning framework, the Commission also announced the commencement of advance deposits for the 2028, 2029 and 2030 Hajj seasons.

NAHCON advised intending pilgrims seeking further information on payment procedures to contact their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or any participating Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) bank.
