Muslim nations have strongly condemned what they described as Israel’s continued violations in the Gaza Strip, including attacks on hospitals, medical facilities and civilian infrastructure.

In a joint statement, the nations condemned the continued loss of civilian lives, especially women and children, saying such actions violate international law.

The statement also spoke against attacks on healthcare facilities and stressed that protecting civilians, medical workers and humanitarian personnel, as well as ensuring the safe and unhindered delivery of aid across Gaza, remains a legal obligation under international law.

“The ongoing attacks violate Israel’s obligations under international law and the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” It added.

According to the statement, the continued violence could derail efforts to implement the second phase of the peace roadmap following US President Donald Trump’s announcement that Palestinian factions had accepted the plan, including provisions on the confinement of weapons.

It added that the situation in Gaza cannot be separated from attacks by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, the continued expansion of settlements and attempts to change the status of occupied Jerusalem, warning that such actions undermine the two-state solution.

It also called on the United Nations Security Council and the wider international community to take practical steps to ensure compliance with international law, implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803, protect civilians and hold those responsible for serious violations accountable.

The statement also rejected rejected any attempt to annex occupied Palestinian territory, impose Israeli sovereignty over it or forcibly displace the Palestinian people, reaffirming that lasting peace can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
