By Sadiq Abdulfatah
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has held a workshop to review the challenges faced by participants in the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorising, Reciting and Interpreting the Holy Quran.
The workshop, titled “Studying Competitors’ Journey Challenges and Innovating Solutions,” brought together contestants from different countries participating in the international Quran competition.
The discussions focused on the contestants’ experiences from the time they were nominated and travelled to Saudi Arabia through their reception, transportation, accommodation and preparations for the competition.
The workshop also examined the preliminary and final stages of the competition, as well as the cultural and faith-related programmes arranged for participants during their stay in the Kingdom.
Contestants shared their experiences and suggestions on how the organisation of future editions could be improved. They also highlighted the services provided to them and identified areas where further improvements could be made.
The ministry said the feedback would help improve the overall experience of contestants and the quality of services provided during future editions of the international Quran competition.
