Iran Restores Full Military Control of Hormuz

Iran has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now back under strict military control, as it was before the recent ceasefire, citing continued pressure from the United States.
According to Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, Iranian officials said they had earlier allowed limited movement of oil tankers and commercial ships through the strait after talks. However, they accused the US of breaking agreements and continuing its blockade on Iranian ports.
A spokesperson for Iran’s military command said the country had acted in good faith, but claimed the US kept violating the terms while enforcing what Iran described as an unfair blockade.
Iran has now tightened control again, placing the waterway fully under the supervision of its armed forces. Officials said the situation will continue unless Iranian ships are allowed to move freely.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump said the US blockade will remain until a final agreement is reached with Tehran.
Iran’s parliament speaker also said movement through the strait will be strictly controlled, with ships only allowed to pass through approved routes under Iranian authority.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important oil routes, and any restriction there can affect global energy supply.
