Anwar Sends Prayers as Malaysian Pilgrims Begin Hajj
PM wishes safe journey as thousands depart for Saudi Arabia

Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Malaysian Muslims selected for Hajj this year and prayed for their safe journey to the Holy Land.
In a message shared online, the Prime Minister described Hajj as an important spiritual journey that requires patience, sincerity, and strong faith. He expressed happiness that the first group of pilgrims had already begun their journey.
He prayed that all pilgrims would remain in good health, be protected throughout their stay, and have their Hajj accepted by Allah. He also wished that they return home with blessings and stronger faith.
About 31,800 Malaysians are expected to perform Hajj this year. The first group of 284 pilgrims departed early from Kuala Lumpur International Airport on a Malaysia Airlines flight.
More flights are scheduled to continue in the coming weeks as pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage.
