IRGC Sets New Ship Rules in Strait of Hormuz
Allows only civilian ships on approved routes as tensions with US continue

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has introduced new rules for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, saying only civilian vessels using routes approved by Iran will be allowed.
The IRGC said all ships must follow specific paths set by Iranian authorities and must get permission before entering the area. It added that military ships are not allowed to pass through the strait at all.
These new rules come as tensions remain high between Iran and the United States over a naval blockade on Iranian ports. Iranian officials say the move is to control activity in the area during this period.
According to Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, the IRGC also warned that if the ceasefire breaks down, the situation could return to full conflict, which may affect even commercial ships.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump said the US will continue its blockade on Iranian ports until a full agreement is reached.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important routes for global oil supply, so any restriction there can affect many countries.
