1. The Yobe State Government has distributed SR300 Hadaya fees to 1,353 pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
2. Officials of state Muslim pilgrims welfare boards have commended NAHCON and Saudi service providers over improved arrangements at Mina and Arafat.
3. Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam AbdulRahaman, praised the redesigned chair-like beds provided at Mina, saying the arrangement created more movement space inside the tents.
4. Chairman of the Oyo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sheikh Wahab Atere Hashim Olamide, also expressed satisfaction with facilities inspected at Mina and Arafat.
5. Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology has launched artificial intelligence-powered weather forecast services for pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj season.
6. Saudi authorities have also introduced a multilingual weather application and specialised climate reports for Miqat locations to support pilgrims and Hajj service agencies.
7. Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation has banned the charging of power banks onboard flights as part of updated aviation safety regulations.
8. The authority says each passenger will only be allowed to carry a maximum of two portable power banks onboard flights operating within the Kingdom.
