1. Nigeria has recorded another death during the 2026 Hajj exercise. Abdullahi Mohammed of the FCT contingent died in Makkah.
2. The Zamfara State Hajj Commission has announced that one of its pilgrims went missing during Sa’ayi and has appealed to anyone with useful information to contact the commission or NAHCON.
3. Saudi Arabia says the issuance of Umrah visas and the entry of Umrah pilgrims into the Kingdom will commence on May 31, marking the beginning of preparations for the new Umrah season.
4. Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has donated 200 Saudi Riyals each to 964 pilgrims from the state as an Eid al-Adha welfare package.
5. The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board says all 2,090 pilgrims from the state successfully completed the 2026 Hajj rites without any major incident, restriction or disruption.
6. Bauchi officials disclosed that about 95 percent of the state’s pilgrims have completed the stoning rites and two-day stay in Mina, while a few remained for the final day before returning to Makkah.
7. The board, however, confirmed the death of one of its veteran guides, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya Jalam, shortly after arrival in Makkah.
8. Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has met with Hajj service providers to review the 2026 operations and commence preparations for the 2027 Hajj season.
9. The meeting reviewed pilgrim satisfaction reports and development plans covering digital services, accommodation, transportation and crowd management systems.
10. Malaysia’s Tabung Haji has won the Diamond Award at the Labaytum Awards 2026 for the second consecutive year in recognition of excellence in Hajj management and pilgrim services.

11. The 13th of Dhul-Hijjah is the final Day of Tashreeq and the last day on which pilgrims may perform the stoning of the Jamarat.
12. Pilgrims who remained in Mina until the 13th have completed the longer option of Hajj mentioned in the Qur’an, while those who left on the 12th have also fulfilled their pilgrimage correctly.
13. Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:203:“Whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him…”
14. After completing the rites in Mina, many pilgrims begin preparing for Tawaf al-Wada’ (the Farewell Tawaf), one of the last acts of Hajj before leaving Makkah.
15. Tawaf al-Wada’ is performed by pilgrims from every corner of the world, creating one final moment of unity around the Kaaba before departure.
16. Historically, completing Hajj did not mean the journey was over. For many pilgrims, the return trip home could take months by caravan or sea.
