Aliyu and Muazu families unite in Abuja

Abubakar Murtala Aliyu weds Aishatu Mu’azu in Abuja, uniting two prominent Gombe families before a gathering of political and social elites

The families of Mallam Murtala Aliyu, the (mutawallen Gombe), and Senator Sa’idu Alkali have conducted the nikah ceremony of their children, Abubakar Murtala Aliyu and Aishatu Mu’azu, in a ceremony held in Abuja.

The wedding Fatiḥah took place at the BUA Estate Mosque in Kado, Abuja, drawing a large gathering of political figures, government officials, traditional title holders and well-wishers from across the country. The gathering reflects the Islamic pedigrees, social and political standing, of the two families.

The Fatiḥah rites were conducted in the presence of designated representatives and witnesses. Mallam Ladan Aliyu stood in for the groom, while Mallam Yahaya Ibrahim represented the bride.

Following the solemnisation, guests proceeded to a reception held at the Abuja residence of the groom’s father, where celebrations continued among family members, associates and invited dignitaries.

The groom, Abubakar Murtala Aliyu, studied International Relations and Diplomacy and holds a master’s degree in Intelligence and Security, while the bride, Aishatu Mu’azu, studied Information Technology and is completing a Master of Business Administration. Both families originate from Gombe State.
