Reward for loyalty
Islam preach diligence, uprightness and loyalty. The lifestyle of Alhaji Awodele Najeem Adewale Alao, the current minister of state, ministry of Agriculture, is a combination of these His lifestyle is a good lesson for upcoming young ones, especially Muslims. Najeem for years, is diligent in service and passionate in hard work. To whoever cares to know, he is noted for uprightness. While many craves for wealthy by whatever means, the minister believes Allah is the owner of wealth and He gives to whom He pleases. A source reveals, he is selected to his present position because of his undiluted loyalty to the nation and a hero of our nation. This is more apt, because he is not a politician but a technocrat.
Sheikh Gumi in Saudi Arabia
Muslims in Kaduna and its environs shall be missing the beautiful and inspiring preaching of one of the sons of the Late Sheikh Gumi; no thanks to the authorities in Saudi Arabia. Every year in Ramadan since the demise of the Gumi’s patriarch this son always do open air tafsir in Ramadan for multitudes in Kaduna.
However, this might not be so this year, because the Saudi authorities are investigating him for trying to talk to Umar Abdul Muttalab to stop being a fiery Muslim. The family is leaving no stone unturned to ensure he is out to return to what he knows best to do; imparting knowledge on many Muslims. He has been with the authorities for couple of months without trial. The late Sheikh Gumi family is a well known Nigerian family with peaceful dispositions and Islamic pedigree that dates beyond a century.
Fake certificates everywhere
Recently, the airwaves brim with the News that a fake National Youth Service Camp was discovered somewhere in Nasarawa State, in Northern Nigeria and nearly hundred fake youth corp members were arrested. The news summerises, the level of the anomie in our educational sector. The reality is that some Nigerians parade fake certificates to earn their living. ironically the development is pervasive. The case of a National Assembly speaker remain fresh, put a stop sources reveals that many are neck deep in the nefarious acts. One outlet for the forgery is the so-called computer and business centers, May Allah save us from a situation where many will rather prefer to use fake certificate than going to school to acquire genuine ones.
