Türkiye Condoles Nigeria Over Ondo Military Helicopter Crash
The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed sadness over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the families of victims and the people of Nigeria.

Türkiye has expressed condolences to Nigeria following the crash of a military helicopter in Ondo State, saying it was “deeply saddened” by the loss of lives in the accident.
In a statement issued by its Foreign Ministry on Monday, October 5, Türkiye extended its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the people of Nigeria.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives resulting from the crash of a military aircraft today in Ondo State of Nigeria,” the ministry said.
The military helicopter crashed in southwestern Ondo State on Monday, with the incident reported near the Igbokoda Naval Base.
Nigerian Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said 20 passengers and five crew members were on board the helicopter when it crashed.
He said the wreckage had been located and that search and rescue operations were ongoing.
Jimoh Abayomi, Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, also confirmed the crash and said an investigation had been launched.
Security forces were deployed to the crash site as authorities continued efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident.
