Saudi Arabia Confirms Full Hajj Readiness as Pilgrims Head to Mina

By Sadiq Abdulfatah

Saudi authorities have confirmed full readiness for the movement of pilgrims to Mina as the annual Hajj pilgrimage enters its main phase on Monday with the Day of Tarwiyah.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said all logistical and field arrangements have been completed to ensure the smooth transfer of pilgrims from their accommodation in Makkah to the tent city, where the core rituals of Hajj will take place.

Pilgrims from around the world, along with a large number of domestic participants, are already making their way to Mina, observing traditional practices such as the recitation of the talbiyah as they begin the next stage of the pilgrimage.

Officials said an integrated operational system has been activated to manage transportation, accommodation, and service delivery, with multiple agencies working together to oversee crowd movement and ensure safety.

The ministry added that monitoring centres and field teams are in place to track operations in real time and respond quickly to any issues that may arise during the movement of pilgrims.

It also noted that extensive inspections were carried out in the weeks leading up to Hajj to verify readiness across accommodation sites, camps, and service facilities.
