PHOTO NEWS: MSSN Celebrates Oloyede After a Decade at JAMB

A civic reception in honour of Prof. Is-haq Oloyede brought together Muslim scholars, students, former public officials and associates on Tuesday, as the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria celebrated the former JAMB Registrar’s decade-long service and public-sector record.

Held under the theme, “The Oloyede Blueprint: Integrity, Innovation, and Accountability in Public Service,” the reception placed Oloyede’s years at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board at the centre of tributes to his career in public service.

The former registrar, who completed his 10-year tenure at JAMB in 2026, was recognised by MSSN as a distinguished alumnus of the society and a member of its Board of Trustees.

The occasion also became a reflection on the values of amanah, institutional responsibility, innovation and leadership, with speakers drawing lessons from Oloyede’s career for a new generation of Muslim students and public servants.

Among the dignitaries at the reception were Director-General of the Department of State Services, Mr Oluwatosin Ajayi; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON; Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu; former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau; former Minister of Communications Adebayo Shittu; former Minister of Agriculture Abdulrahman Ahmad; Prof. Yusuf Ali, SAN, FCIArb, the first Kuliya Ngeri of Ilorin; veteran journalist Alhaji Liad Tella; National Missioner of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Sheikh AbdulRahman Ahmad; Imam Fuad Adeyemi, Executive Director of the Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society, Abuja, and many others.

From the tributes and addresses to the presentation in Oloyede’s honour, the photographs capture moments from an evening dedicated to celebrating a career that has left its mark on Nigeria’s education and public service.
