MSSN Pays Tribute to Oloyede’s Transparency Legacy at JAMB
The Muslim students’ body says the outgoing Registrar leaves behind a stronger admissions system built on transparency, innovation and merit, while urging his successor to build on the reforms.

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) has paid tribute to the outgoing Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, describing his decade in office as a period that transformed the nation’s admissions system through integrity, innovation and institutional reform.
In a statement signed by its National Amir, Engr. Tajudeen Mustapha Olumide, and National Public Relations Officer, Mallam Moshood Abiola Olaturbi, the Society said Oloyede’s tenure strengthened public confidence in JAMB and established the Board as one of Nigeria’s most transparent and efficiently managed public institutions.
The organisation said Oloyede’s administration was marked by reforms that promoted accountability, improved service delivery and reinforced merit in tertiary admissions.
Central to MSSN’s tribute was the introduction of the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), which it described as a landmark reform that transformed admissions into Nigerian tertiary institutions.
According to the Society, CAPS enhanced transparency and fairness by reducing human interference in admissions while promoting accountability and merit-based selection.
The Society also noted that Oloyede serves on its Board of Trustees, describing him as a public servant whose leadership reflected integrity, humility and an enduring commitment to national development.
It said his career demonstrated that ethical leadership and institutional discipline remained essential to building sustainable public institutions, adding that his achievements should serve as an example for younger generations.
The Society also congratulated the new Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Segun Aina, on his appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to consolidate on the reforms introduced over the past decade.
It urged the incoming Registrar to sustain the culture of transparency, innovation, accountability and excellence that, according to the organisation, had become synonymous with JAMB under Oloyede’s leadership.
While marking the end of Oloyede’s tenure, MSSN prayed for Allah to grant him good health, wisdom and continued opportunities for national service, expressing hope that his experience would remain valuable to Nigeria’s education sector and the wider Muslim community.
MSSN’s tribute joins a growing list of endorsements from organisations and stakeholders following Oloyede’s departure after a decade at the helm of JAMB, a tenure widely associated with technology-driven reforms, tighter institutional accountability and renewed public confidence in Nigeria’s tertiary admissions system.
