The Chairperson of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), FCT Chapter, Hajiya Medina Dauda Nadabo, has urged Nigerians to use the occasion of Mawlid al-Nabi to recommit to the values of peace, compassion and mutual respect taught by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a message to Muslims and Nigerians at large, Hajiya Nadabo said the commemoration of the Prophet’s birth was not just a time for festivity but also an opportunity to reflect on his timeless message of kindness, justice and unity.

“The Prophet’s message emphasizes love, kindness, and respect for all humanity, regardless of faith or background. Islam teaches us to build bridges, foster understanding, and work together towards common goals,” she said.

She called on Nigerians to use the season to deepen interfaith harmony and dialogue, promote human rights and work collectively to address social challenges.

According to her, the ideals of Mawlid al-Nabi should inspire communities to empower the next generation through education, protect justice, and build a more inclusive and tolerant society.

Hajiya Nadabo also extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah, partners, and friends across Nigeria, praying that the sacred occasion would bring renewed blessings, unity, and prosperity to the nation.
