Matawalle Leads NAHCON Officials on Condolence Visit to Late Gaya’s Family

Kano Pilgrims Welfare Board DG joins senior NAHCON officials in mourning Salisu Abdullahi Gaya, who died at 55 after a brief illness.

The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has led senior officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to condole with the family of Alhaji Salisu Abdullahi Gaya, a staff member of the Commission who died after a brief illness.

Gaya, 55, served at NAHCON’s Kano Zonal Office until his death.

During the condolence visit, Matawalle expressed sorrow over the death and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive Gaya’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

He urged the bereaved family to remain united, maintain peace and support one another as they come to terms with the loss.

Matawalle described Gaya’s death as a painful loss to his family and the wider Hajj administration community, while praying for strength and comfort for those he left behind.

The delegation included NAHCON Director of Administration, Alhaji Alidu Shuti; Director of States and Zones, Malam Muhammad Ahmad Shira; Director of Planning, Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud; and Special Adviser to the Chairman of NAHCON, Alhaji Muhammad Maigari.

The officials joined Matawalle in extending condolences to the family and praying for the repose of Gaya’s soul.

Gaya is survived by his wife and three children.
