Islamic Countries Reject Israel’s Somaliland Envoy Move
Countries say envoy plan violates Somalia’s sovereignty and threatens regional stability

Several Arab and Islamic countries have condemned Israel’s decision to appoint a diplomatic envoy to Somaliland, calling it a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.
In a joint statement, foreign ministers from countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, Indonesia, and others rejected the move, describing it as a unilateral action that undermines national unity.
The countries reaffirmed their support for Somalia’s unity and territorial integrity, stressing that the Somali federal government remains the only legitimate authority representing its people.
They said the Israeli decision goes against international law, including the United Nations Charter and the African Union’s principles.
The statement also warned that such actions could create instability in the Horn of Africa and affect peace and security in the region.
