Iran’s state‑run media has claimed that the United Arab Emirates may be involved in the widening conflict against Iran, according to statements aired by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). The assertions lack independent verification and official confirmation from the UAE.
In a social media post, IRIB suggested that certain recent military events could indicate broader participation by regional states aligned with the US‑Israel military campaign.
The network’s commentary reflects Tehran’s effort to frame the conflict as involving a wider coalition of adversaries, though independent news agencies have not corroborated the specific claims.
There was no immediate response from Emirates authorities to the Iranian assertions.
The allegations come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following a joint offensive by the United States and Israel against Iran that began on Feb. 28.
That campaign, widely driven by Washington and Tel Aviv’s strategic objectives, has resulted in significant casualties and destruction inside Iran, including attacks on infrastructure and military installations.
In response, Iranian forces have carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israeli positions as well as sites in countries hosting US military assets, including Jordan and Iraq, contributing to the conflict’s expanding footprint throughout the region.
Analysts say Tehran’s media narratives are part of an effort to counter what the government describes as external aggression and to highlight the perceived role of foreign powers in fueling the war.
