Health Minister Checks Makkah Hospitals Ahead of Hajj 2026
Saudi Arabia confirms full medical readiness for pilgrims

Saudi Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel has completed a two-day inspection of hospitals and healthcare facilities in Makkah to confirm their readiness for Hajj 2026.
The visit reflects Saudi Arabia’s plan to provide strong medical services for pilgrims as part of its wider health reforms under Vision 2030.
The minister said ensuring full readiness of healthcare services in Makkah is a top priority. He explained that plans are in place to increase hospital capacity and improve emergency, preventive, and treatment services during the Hajj period.
He also stressed the importance of training medical staff and improving coordination across all health services to ensure quick and effective care for pilgrims in case of emergencies.
During the inspection, he reviewed emergency units, intensive care services, and emergency response systems. He also checked the central command and control systems that coordinate ambulance and hospital services.
The Health Ministry said these inspections are part of ongoing monitoring to ensure all health facilities in the holy sites operate at the highest standards during the Hajj season.
