1. Nigerian pilgrims have completed their movement from Makkah into Mina ahead of the peak 2026 Hajj rites, with all state contingents now settling in preparation for the Day of Tarwiyah and onward movement to Arafat under coordinated operations by state pilgrims welfare boards.
2. NAHCON says Nigerian pilgrims are fully positioned across Mina as the Mashair phase of the Hajj officially begins in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
3. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media says the third Hajj Media Hub has concluded after hosting over 13,500 media professionals and visitors from around the world.
4. Authorities say more than 150 local and international media organisations participated in coverage support, alongside training programmes for over 300 media practitioners.

7. Staying overnight in Mina on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah is a Sunnah practice observed by pilgrims as preparation for the journey to the plains of Arafah the following day.
8. Pilgrims begin moving to Mina on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah, known as Yawm al-Tarwiyah, following the established practice of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh during his Farewell Pilgrimage.
