1. So far, 31,844 Nigerian pilgrims have been successfully airlifted to Saudi Arabia across 78 flight operations, according to NAHCON
2. Today a flight departed Kano to Jeddah at 17:42hrs with 558 Kano pilgrims.
3. A flight departed Kaduna to Madinah at 16:35hrs with 343 Kaduna pilgrims and one official onboard.
4. Today another flight departed Niger to Madinah at 13:52hrs with 422 Niger pilgrims.
5. Also today, a flight departed Maiduguri to Madinah at 09:22hrs with 317 Borno and Yobe State pilgrims.
6. The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board completed the transportation of all its 1,530 pilgrims from Madinah to Makkah.
7. Governor Dauda Lawal recorded a milestone as the first Hajj flight departed from the newly constructed Gusau International Airport with 415 intending pilgrims onboard.
8. The inaugural flight airlifted 288 male and 127 female pilgrims directly from Gusau to Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj.
9. Governor Lawal described the development as a fulfilment of his administration’s campaign promise, recalling that construction of the airport began on June 18, 2024.
10. Saudi authorities have announced that issuance of Umrah visas will resume on May 31, 2026, corresponding to 14 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH.
