1. Sokoto State has recorded the death of two female pilgrims in Makkah after the completion of the 2026 Hajj. The deceased are Ladi Umar from Bodinga Local Government Area and Hadiza Umar from Yabo Local Government Area.
2. The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency says the first batch of its pilgrims is scheduled to return to Nigeria on 14th June under the “first to arrive, first to depart” arrangement.
3. Sokoto pilgrims have also been advised to strictly comply with the approved 32-kilogram luggage limit to avoid delays during their return journey.
4. Kwara State pilgrims have been airlifted back to Ilorin with 533 pilgrims.
5. Osun State pilgrims have also been returned to Lagos with 291 pilgrims and 53 officials.
6. A total of 10,541 Nigerian pilgrims have been airlifted back home across 27 return flight operations, according to NAHCON.
7. Kwara State has commenced the distribution of main luggage to its returning 2026 Hajj pilgrims upon their arrival in Nigeria.
8. Saudi Arabia has introduced new guidelines for the 2027 Hajj requiring participating countries to provide at least 1.5 doctors and 1.7 nurses for every 1,000 pilgrims.
   
9. The new Saudi framework also requires Hajj service contracts to be processed through the Nusuk digital platform with payments made through an e-wallet system.
10. Saudi authorities have further proposed that each participating country should operate with a single Hajj service provider, a policy now being reviewed by several Hajj missions.
11. Bangladesh has so far airlifted 37,435 pilgrims back home after the 2026 Hajj exercise.
12. Bangladesh also confirmed that 48 of its pilgrims died during the 2026 Hajj season.
