FOMWAN Marks 40 Years of Humanitarian Service in Nigeria

The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has marked 40 years of service, highlighting its impact in education, healthcare, and humanitarian support across the country.

Speaking during FOMWAN Week in Bauchi State, the chairperson of the state chapter, Habiba Usman, said the organisation’s programmes over the years have brought meaningful change to communities.

She said the group has remained focused on promoting girl-child education, improving access to healthcare, supporting vulnerable families, and strengthening Islamic awareness.

According to her, the 40th anniversary reflects decades of commitment to service, describing the milestone as evidence of sustained efforts to improve lives.

Mrs Habiba Usman also praised members, partners, and volunteers for their dedication, noting that their contributions have helped the organisation expand its reach and activities.

She encouraged members to renew their commitment to community service and prayed for a smooth leadership transition within the association.
