According to reports by Al Khaleej daily, Al Mualla had undertaken the sacred pilgrimage with the intention of seeking blessings and offering prayers for his son’s soul. However, shortly after completing the Umrah rites, he himself passed away in the holy city.

Funeral prayers were observed at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, after which he was laid to rest at the historic Al Mu’alla Cemetery, a resting place revered for generations and situated close to the Haram.

The development has stirred deep emotions among the Emirati community, with many describing Al Mualla’s passing as a reflection of a father’s profound devotion and sacrifice  carrying his grief to the holy sanctuary and departing this world in a state of worship.

Community members and social media users have since poured out tributes, highlighting the touching coincidence of a father’s final act of love being tied to his son’s memory.
