1. The General Directorate of Public Security maintains that visit visas, regardless of their type or designation, do not permit the holders to engage in Hajj rituals. It has advised all visitors with visit or tourist visas to avoid travelling to or staying in Makkah between the dates Dhul Qada 15, corresponding to May 23, until Dhul-Hijjah 15, corresponding to June 21

2. Saudi authorities have listed items not allowed in the Haram in Makkah. They are sharp objects, flammable liquids, large bags and luggages, baby strollers and prams, food (except dates, coffee and water).

3. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has penalised 20,000 people for travelling to Makkah or residing in the holy city without a Hajj permits

4. The General Directorate of Civil Defense has set up about 30 centers through land crossings and highways leading to Makkah and Madinah for this year’s Hajj season in order to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims. The centers Will deal with emergency situations, support the main civil defense centers in those locations, and undertake preventive measures and field operations to provide the highest levels of security and safety in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

5. Two pilgrims Abdul Rahman(34) and Rayhan Ali(29) arrived in Al Madīnah from Scotland after cycling through 13 countries for Hajj.

6. Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia has completed all preparations to assist pilgrims arriving from its Eastern borders through the King Fahd Causeway. King Fahd Causeway is a 25 km long series of bridges and causeways crossing over the Arabian Gulf waters connecting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

7. President of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, has inaugurated today a media center exclusively for this year’s Hajj exercise.The aim is to coordinate with the diverse media system to cover and broadcast the media message of the Two Holy Mosques, and to enrich the experience of pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors through the production of moderate religious content.

8. The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in the Makkah Region has announced its readiness for the Hajj season of 1445 AH, where all specialized personnel have been stationed and started their duties on May 28 and will continue work until the end of the Hajj season. They have the utmost responsibility of providing a neat and conducive atmosphere for pilgrims. Various slaughter houses are already in place for pilgrims’ to slaughter their animals.

9. A medical team at the King Abdullah Medical City, in Makkah has saved the life of an older Bangladeshi pilgrim who suffered a severe myocardial infarction.The pilgrim’s condition is now stable and will be closely monitored to ensure full recovery.

10. Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State and Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has announced the payment of BTA differentials for all pilgrims from their respective states.

11. 425 pilgrims and 5 officials from Zamfara State departed from Sokoto to Al Madīnah at exactly 1:07AM.

12. NAHCON meets state pilgrims board officials on the need to educate pilgrims on the need to always carry their NUSUK card with them. The holy sites will be strictly restricted to persons who have no form of identification as pilgrims.

13. NAHCON has flown out about 31,000 pilgrims in 76 flights. It will fly out more than 30,000 more in coming days.
