1. The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has welcomed today the first group of pilgrims from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

2. Saudi authorities have provided 31,100 copies of various awareness and guidance booklets for pilgrims coming from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through the Al-Batha border ((Eastern borders). The booklets are, in 12 different languages, including more than 55 topics to guide and educate pilgrims on the provisions of rituals.

3. Makkah police have arrested two Egyptian residents for promoting a fraudulent Hajj campaign through social media. The campaign falsely promised accommodation, transportation, and securing a sacrifice for pilgrims. The scammers will be prosecuted.

4. Pakistan has announced the hiring of 300 luxury buses to ensure the smooth and comfortable travel of pilgrims within the city of Makkah. The buses will transport pilgrims from their residences directly to the Haram in Makkah and will be available at all hours. This flexible arrangement will allow pilgrims to travel at their convenience.

5. Saudi Arabia repeatedly warns against coming to or staying in Makkah without an Hajj permit. Strict sanctions will be meted out to violators.

5. Ogun State pilgrims appreciate Governor Dapo Abiodun’s BTA intervention.

6. NAHCON, has said that its clinics in Makkah, Saudi Arabia are on the verge of gaining authorization from Saudi Authorities to commence operation. However, its Clinics in Madinah have been licensed and authorised to operate by the Saudi health authorities and is fully operational and committedly attending to Nigerian and other nations pilgrims that reported to them for medical attention.

7. A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Hajj flight had to make an emergency landing in Riyadh on Friday due to technical difficulties. The flight departing from Karachi on Friday was initially bound for Jeddah. But passengers reported hearing a slight explosion, leading to the flight being redirected to Riyadh. The jet resumed its journey to Jeddah on Saturday after inspection.

8. Nigerian pilgrims disassociate themselves from viral Facebook post alleging poor quality of meals served by NAHCON. The picture in the viral post was misleading and done with mischievous intent.

9. Gombe state Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahya has announced ordered the payment of 200 Riyals each to all 1,370 pilgrims from his state. He also paid for the pilgrims’ animal sacrifices while bidding farewell to the first batch of Gombe pilgrims to go to Saudi Arabia.

10. Bauchi’s state Hajj camp has been declared the best in the country by NAHCON.

11. Nigerian pilgrims in Makkah lament their inability to access medical care with NAHCON. They beg NAHCON to hasten the approval from Saudi authorities.

12. No access to the holy sites without NUSUK ID card.

13. The next batch of Kaduna pilgrims have been told to exercise patience. As there will be no flights for today and tomorrow.

14. 429 pilgrims and 2 officials from Sokoto State were airlifted to Saudi Arabia today at 12:57PM.

15. 313 pilgrims from Kwara and Ekiti state flew to Al Madīnah today.

16. The first batch of 420 pilgrims from Gombe state were airlifted this morning.

17. 479 Kano pilgrims and 41 officials departed Kano to Al Madīnah at 3:01PM today.

18. NAHCON has airlifted almost 35,000 pilgrims in 18 days.
