1. Vice Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih visited the General Transport Center at the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites (RCMC) today to inspect the readiness of the transport and logistics sector for the 2024 Hajj exercise.

2. Crowd management team in the Prophet’s Mosque in Al Madīnah currently monitors and manages 38 main passages, 14 secondary passages, and eight emergency passages to ensure smooth and safe movement of crowds in the Prophet’s Mosque.

3. The Makkah Region branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has carried out 1,943 revision and maintenance jobs during Dhu Al-Qa’adah this year at miqat locations (entry points for pilgrimage) and mosques at holy sites, in preparation for welcoming pilgrims. Maintenance jobs totaled 594, 365 entailed electrical work, 782 air conditioning maintenance, and 202 were related to architectural works.

4. In anticipation of the Hajj season, a big number of copies of the Quran has been supplied at the Grand Mosque in Makkah making them available to pilgrims, in preparation for this year’s Hajj season. The authorities have also supplied numerous booklets with translations of the meanings of the Holy Quran at the mosque in 35 languages, including English, Urdu, French, Indonesian, Turkish, Chinese, Somali, Malayalam, Bengali, Filipino, Spanish, Albanian, and Hausa. 5. Ministry of Commerce Monitors more than 33,000 Commercial Outlets in Makkah and Madinah and the Roads Leading to the Holy Sites enterprises to ensure an abundance of goods, quality products, and adequate stocks of basic food supplies for pilgrims.

6. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has carried out a comprehensive awareness campaign to safeguard the health and safety of pilgrims undertaking Hajj in 1445 AH. This provides information on food safety, medications, medical devices, and other products relevant to pilgrim. Furthermore, the SFDA is disseminating these awareness messages in nine of the languages most widely spoken among pilgrims.

7. The first group of 305 Sudanese pilgrims arrived in Makkah on Sunday for Hajj. 8,000 pilgrims in total are expected.

8. The first batch of 130 pilgrims from the Italian Republic arrived in Makkah today.

13. The Governor of Taraba state Agbu Kefas yesterday at the farewell ceremony cautioned pilgrims from his state against smuggling contraband items into Saudi Arabia. Announces the full sponsorship of 117 pilgrims from Taraba.

14. The 90th NAHCON flight left Dutse this morning at 11:04AM carrying 410 pilgrims from Jigawa State.
