1. Saudi authorities begin to implement heavy sanctions on violators of Hajj regulations from today June 2, 2024, until June 20, 2024. This will be implemented on anyone without a Hajj permit in the city of Makkah, the central area, the holy sites, the Haramain train station, security checkpoints, screening centres, and temporary security checkpoints.

2. Saudi has confirmed the imposition of a fine of 10,000 Riyals on anyone caught without a permit. This is applicable to citizens, residents, and visitors within the holy sites.

3. Expatriates who violate these rules will be deported to their home countries and banned from entering the kingdom for a specific time. Repeat offenders will pay a double fine.

4. Anyone caught transporting Hajj violators without a permit will be imprisoned for up to 6 months and pay a fine of up to SAR 50,000. His vehicle will also be confiscated. Expatriates in this category will be deported and banned from entering the kingdom for a specified time.The financial fine will be multiplied according to the number of transported violators.

5. Saudi Arabia received the first group of pilgrims from Cote D’Ivoire yesterday.

6. Over 20,000 pilgrims have been received so far from Iraq through Saudi’s Northern borders.

7. As at Thursday 30th of May 2024, 131,513 pilgrims have arrived from Indonesia.

8. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance branch in Makkah has provided various services to 100,000 individuals in Makkah between Thursday to Saturday. It has distributed 40,234 religious booklets in various languages; issued 66,265 cards for the electronic library; held religious lectures, and answered inquiries of pilgrims arriving at airports and the different Mīqāt.

10. The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has cleared 856,438 heads of live livestock (sheep, cows, camels) through the plant and animal quarantine at the Jeddah Islamic Port and Al-Hadithah in 20 days as part of its preparations to meet the demand during this year’s Hajj exercise.

11. The first set of pilgrims from Krygyzstan departed yesterday from Osh International Airport for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

12. The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture’s Makkah branch is conducting rigorous inspections of slaughterhouses in the city to ensure that they meet health regulations during the upcoming Hajj season.

13. 313 pilgrims from Kwara State departed Ilorin Airport for Al Madīnah today at 10:54AM.

14. NAHCON pleads with staff on delayed stipends. It allows staff who have served for 21 days freedom to return to Nigeria whenever they want.

15. MaxAir flight that departed Yola today to Al Madinah at 02:51AM with 550 Adamawa Pilgrims and 10 Officials landed in Al Madīnah around 7:13Am.

16. 409 Gombe pilgrims were airlifted to Jeddah today at 7:27AM.
