BREAKING NEWS: Trump Threatens “All Hell” on Iran, 48 Hours to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has issued a stark ultimatum to Tehran, giving Iran 48 hours to meet Washington’s demands or face unspecified consequences, raising the stakes in an already volatile Middle East.

Trump, speaking on his social media platform Truth Social, reiterated his earlier warning: “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them.”

The declaration comes amid a tense standoff in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic chokepoint through which roughly a fifth of the world’s oil passes. The region has been on high alert since the joint US-Israel offensive against Iran began on February 28, a campaign that has resulted in more than 1,340 deaths, including senior military and political figures.

Trump had previously extended Iran’s nuclear negotiation deadline to ten days, citing Tehran’s dispatch of 10 Pakistani-flagged oil tankers as a purported goodwill gesture. Despite this, the US president’s latest statement signals impatience with the pace of diplomacy and a readiness to escalate.

Iran has retaliated with a series of drone and missile strikes targeting Israeli positions, as well as facilities in Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military assets. Tehran has also restricted vessel movements through the Strait of Hormuz, further heightening global energy security concerns.

Analysts warn that any military escalation in the Strait of Hormuz could have catastrophic consequences for international shipping, regional stability, and global oil markets. With both sides showing little sign of compromise, the clock now ticks toward a critical juncture, as the world watches the unfolding confrontation in one of the planet’s most sensitive maritime passages.
