Angels Amongst Us – Ramadan Digest (Day 27)
Angels are revered as noble beings created from light, serving as obedient messengers and executors of Allah’s commands. They play integral roles in the lives of believers, acting as protectors, recorders of deeds, and conveyors of divine revelations. Angels are pure beings devoid of free will, entirely submissive to Allah’s commands.
They neither eat nor drink and are free from human desires. Their primary roles include: Delivering Allah’s revelations to prophets, with Angel Jibril (Gabriel) being the most notable. Documenting the deeds of individuals, with each person assigned two angels for this purpose. Guarding believers from harm by Allah’s command. Constantly glorifying and praising Allah without fatigue.

Nigeria – Many families across Nigeria say rising fuel costs and soaring food prices are making it difficult to observe Ramadan as usual, with some households skipping the pre-dawn meal so limited food can be reserved for the evening fast-breaking meal.
Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the nationwide distribution of rice to support Christians observing Lent and Muslims observing Ramadan. According to a statement from the State House of Nigeria, the programme will be coordinated through the Renewed Hope Ambassadors network to reach families across states, local governments and communities.
Indonesia – Traders in Jakarta say prices of imported dates and nuts commonly consumed during Ramadan have risen sharply as tensions in the Middle East disrupt supply routes. Vendors at the city’s Tanah Abang Market report that prices of varieties such as Bam and Golden Valley dates have increased significantly in recent weeks.
Saudi Arabia – The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has called on Muslims across the kingdom to sight the crescent moon on March 18 to determine the beginning of Shawwal and the date of the Eid al-Fitr festival marking the end of Ramadan.
Sudan – Residents in Omdurman say the spirit of Ramadan has been overshadowed by war and rising prices, with displaced families struggling to afford basic food items as markets grow crowded ahead of the fasting month.

For each person, there are angels in succession, before and behind him. They guard him by the command of Allah,” Surah Ar-Ra’d (13:11).
Hadiths
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah (glorified and exalted be He) has supernumerary angels who rove about seeking out gatherings in which Allah’s name is being invoked: they sit with them and fold their wings round each other, filling that which is between them and between the lowest heaven.” Sahih Muslim.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “For each (person) there are angels in succession in front of him and behind him, who guard him by Allah’s command.”
