Al-Habibiyyah Pays Tribute to Sheikh Asukuna’s Legacy

The Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society of Nigeria has joined Muslims in mourning the death of Sheikh Surajudeen Asukuna, founder and Chief Missioner of Hizbullahi International Prayer Group.
In a condolence message signed by its National Chief Imam, Imam Fuad Adeyemi, the society described the cleric’s death as a “profound loss” to the Islamic community.
It said Sheikh Asukuna would be remembered as a dedicated Islamic scholar, a committed caller to the path of Allah and a humble servant whose life was devoted to faith, service and the spiritual upliftment of others.
The society extended its condolences to his family, members of the Hizbullahi International Prayer Group, as well as his friends, associates, students and the wider Muslim community.
It prayed that Allah forgive the cleric’s shortcomings, accept his service to Islam as an act of worship and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
The organisation also prayed for strength, patience and comfort for those he left behind, while asking Allah to make his grave “a garden from the gardens of Paradise”.
The condolence came as tributes continue to emerge following the death of Sheikh Asukuna, whose religious activities and leadership of Hizbullahi made him a recognised figure in the Islamic community, particularly in Lagos and the South-West.
Al-Habibiyyah concluded its message with the Islamic expression, Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, expressing hope that the late scholar would be rewarded abundantly for his contributions to Islam.
