Al-Aqsa Imam Commends Türkiye for Building Muslim Unity

Senior Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Ikrima Sabri has applauded Türkiye for its growing role in bringing Muslim nations closer together through diplomacy and cooperation.
Speaking on Thursday, Sabri said stronger engagement among countries in the Islamic world is a welcome sign and an important step toward collective progress.
He praised the meetings, visits and partnerships being facilitated by Türkiye, saying such efforts could help create deeper solidarity among Muslim states.
Sabri said he hopes the continued cooperation will one day result in a united Islamic bloc comparable to other major regional alliances around the world.
According to him, the Muslim Ummah is now in a better position than before to pursue harmony, shared interests and stronger relations.
He also commended President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for encouraging closer ties among Muslim countries and supporting their drive for independence, development and mutual support.
Sabri stressed that the cause of Al-Aqsa Mosque must remain a major priority during discussions among Muslim leaders, describing it as a symbol of unity and a central issue for the Islamic world.
He welcomed the ongoing visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Türkiye, noting that both nations have played key roles in backing Palestine.
The cleric further praised Türkiye’s expanding ties with countries including Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, saying stronger partnerships could boost peace and prosperity across Muslim nations.
