Qatar Condemns Deadly Attack in Benue, Offers Condolences to Nigeria

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the recent deadly attack on Yelewata village in Benue State, Nigeria, which reportedly left dozens dead and several others injured.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Doha expressed its deep concern over the tragic loss of life and reaffirmed its unwavering stance against violence, terrorism, and criminal acts, regardless of motive or context.
“The State of Qatar reiterates its firm position in rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, and condemns this heinous attack that claimed innocent lives,” the statement read.
Qatar also extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Nigeria, while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The Gulf nation joins a growing list of international voices calling for accountability and sustained peace in Nigeria’s troubled central regions, where clashes and attacks have escalated in recent months.
Qatar’s response comes as Nigeria continues to grapple with rising insecurity across several states, including persistent tensions in parts of the Middle Belt region.
