PHOTO NEWS: Women in Da’awah Opens 19th Annual Conference in Lafia

The Women in Da’awah (WID) Organisation has commenced its 19th Annual National Conference in Lafia, Nasarawa State, bringing together more than 500 women involved in Islamic outreach, alongside youths from across Northern Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory. The opening ceremony attracted prominent personalities, including the First Lady of Jigawa State, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi, alongside Islamic scholars, government officials and other distinguished guests.

The four-day conference, taking place at Lafia, is focusing on strengthening the capacity of women engaged in da’wah while providing a platform for participants to examine contemporary social issues and exchange ideas on addressing challenges affecting Muslim communities.

This year’s conference also features dedicated sessions for young people, with discussions aimed at identifying practical solutions to issues affecting the youth and encouraging greater participation in community development and Islamic advocacy.

The annual gathering is one of Women in Da’awah’s flagship programmes, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds to promote learning, collaboration and the advancement of Islamic outreach through knowledge-sharing and capacity building.
