Lack of Discipline Creates a Generation Without Boundaries

There was a time when parents raised warriors. Today, they raise weaklings. A time when children feared their fathers’ discipline; now, children insult their fathers online. A time when a mother’s corrective slap could set a child’s life on track; today, mothers watch as their children chase clout on social media.
The world has not changed because evil grew stronger, it changed because parents grew weaker.
Children now live without boundaries, without fear, without respect, and without discipline. The consequence is a generation that mocks God, worships vanity, and embraces sin with pride.
1. Children Without Discipline Become Adults Without Self-Control: A child who never hears “NO” at home will hear it from life, too late.
• Boys unchecked in desire may grow addicted to sex, gambling, and idleness.
• Girls denied guidance may seek attention or material gain at the cost of dignity.
• Children not corrected for lying or deceit may become adults who manipulate and steal.
Without parental discipline, the world inevitably punishes.
2. The Fall of Family Values Fuels Moral Decay: Mothers once taught daughters dignity; fathers once taught sons responsibility. Now, the internet raises children faster than parents can guide them. TikTok and social media have become teachers, leaving youth without moral direction or fear of God.
3. Spoiling Children is Destroying Them: Providing children everything they want fosters entitlement and laziness.
Children who never earn, struggle, or face consequences grow into adults unable to handle rejection or adversity.
4. Friendship Over Leadership Breeds Chaos: Parents today often want to be friends rather than leaders:
• “This is wrong” becomes “She’s just expressing herself.”
• “Work for it” becomes “Let me buy it for you.”
• “Unacceptable” becomes “I don’t want to hurt their feelings.”
The result: a generation weak in character and fragile in the face of life’s challenges.
5. Pleasure Over Responsibility: Discipline is now labeled abuse. Teachers hesitate to correct students. Young people demand freedom but reject accountability. Society sees:
• Streets filled with men chasing quick wealth.
• Social media flooded with young women seeking attention at any cost.
• Homes fractured because no one was taught how to be a responsible partner or parent.
6. Losing Discipline is Losing the Future
• Young men addicted to pornography or indulgence untaught self-control.
• Young women exposing themselves online untaught self-respect.
• A generation broke, weak, and mentally fragile untaught resilience.
The devil is not to blame. Parents have failed. Parents and guardians, restore order and guidance in your homes. Teach discipline, respect, and responsibility. Fix your homes, and you can save the next generation.
