In a congratulatory message signed by its National President, Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the MMPN described Oloyede as a renowned scholar whose service in academia, public administration and global Islamic affairs had left an indelible mark on the Muslim community in Nigeria and beyond.
Balogun said Oloyede had continued to serve Islam and Nigeria through his knowledge, experience and dedication to duty, noting that his contributions extended beyond the positions he had held over the years.
The MMPN president specifically commended Oloyede’s record in education, including his service as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
He also praised the scholar’s efforts to promote Islamic values, strengthen Muslim institutions and engage with issues affecting the Muslim Ummah and the country.
According to Balogun, Oloyede’s contribution spans education, religious affairs, mentorship and the welfare of the Muslim community, while his public engagements have included representing Muslim interests on issues affecting the community and the nation.
He urged younger Muslims, particularly those interested in education, journalism and public service, to draw lessons from Oloyede’s dedication to scholarship and his years of service to humanity.
Balogun prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the celebrant good health, wisdom and more years of beneficial service to Islam, Nigeria and humanity.
