Kaduna Leads as Over 51,000 Pilgrims Registered for 2024 Hajj

Kaduna State has emerged as the top state with the highest number of registered pilgrims for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, announced the closure of registration last week, revealing that a total of 51,447 intending pilgrims under the government quota successfully registered. Kaduna State led the pack with 4,493 registered pilgrims.

According to a statement signed by NAHCON’s Assistant Director of Public Affairs, Fatima Sanda Usara, the commission commended the role played by the federal government in ensuring a smooth registration process despite initial challenges.

NAHCON also acknowledged the sacrifices made by intending pilgrims who faced uncertainties during the registration period. They expressed gratitude to religious leaders, state governors, media houses, and other stakeholders who offered support and solutions
