Governor urges pilgrims to obey Saudi laws, uphold discipline and pray for peace in Nigeria

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has launched the state’s inaugural flight for the 2026 Hajj, urging intending pilgrims to uphold discipline and serve as good ambassadors of the state and Nigeria.

He described the pilgrimage as a key spiritual duty for Muslims and advised pilgrims to carry it out with full devotion and obedience to God.

The governor also cautioned them to strictly obey Saudi Arabian laws and avoid any actions that could damage the image of Kaduna State or the country.

He assured pilgrims of the government’s commitment to a smooth Hajj operation, highlighting upgrades at the Mando Hajj Transit Camp, including improved accommodation, healthcare facilities, security, ICT services and other amenities.

Uba Sani also appealed to the pilgrims to pray for peace and development in Kaduna State and Nigeria during their stay in the Holy Land.

The Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli, also advised pilgrims to avoid accepting packages from strangers and warned against carrying unnecessary items such as kolanuts.
