Iran Deploys New Missile Type in Haifa Strike, Targets Strategic Israeli Sites

Iran has reportedly used a new class of missiles for the first time in a powerful overnight strike that targeted the Israeli-occupied port city of Haifa, causing significant damage to critical economic and energy infrastructure.
PEACE Magazine gathered that the attack, which unfolded late Saturday as part of a second wave of Iran’s retaliatory operation dubbed True Promise III, saw a barrage of missiles and drones launched toward key sites in Israel, including oil facilities, industrial zones, and reported ammonia storage tanks in Haifa.
Eyewitness reports and early footage show flames and thick plumes of smoke rising from multiple impact zones, with several structures visibly damaged. Among the affected areas were oil depots and storage sites believed to be integral to Israel’s energy reserves.
An informed source, speaking on Sunday, disclosed that the missiles used in the strike were being deployed operationally for the first time by Iran’s Armed Forces — a move that signals a significant escalation in Tehran’s military response to recent Israeli provocations.
The attack comes in response to a deadly Israeli airstrike on Iranian territory earlier on Friday, which claimed the lives of dozens, including senior military officials, nuclear scientists, and civilians. That strike reportedly targeted sensitive sites such as the Natanz nuclear facility and locations in Tehran.
Invoking Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran described its retaliatory campaign as a legitimate act of self-defense against foreign aggression. The Islamic Republic had earlier warned that any assault on its sovereignty would be met with a forceful and proportionate response.
Speaking after the strikes, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, declared that Israel had committed a grave mistake — one that would have lasting consequences. He affirmed that the Iranian Armed Forces would continue to defend the nation and strike with force against the occupying regime.
“The Zionist regime has crossed a red line, and it must now face the consequences of its recklessness,” the Leader stated. “Our response will be proportionate, powerful, and persistent until justice is served.”
The latest escalation adds a dangerous new dimension to the growing confrontation in the region, as Iran’s deployment of new missile technology suggests deeper strategic capabilities than previously acknowledged.
