1. National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has concluded the airlift of state pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise after transporting 38,888 pilgrims across 98 flight operations in 18 days.
2. The final flight departed at 10:44 A.M officially marking the end of outbound airlift operations for this year’s Hajj.
3. National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has directed states pilgrims welfare boards and agencies to deploy officials in charge of Jamraat and Taradudiyya operations for a practical site inspection in Makkah ahead of the 2026 Hajj rites.
4. The inspection exercise is scheduled for today May 21st at the NAHCON Makkah Office in Ummul Joud as part of preparations for pilgrims’ movement and crowd management during the Jamraat rituals.
5. NAHCON says the exercise is aimed at ensuring seamless coordination and effective field operations during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
6. Saudi authorities have assigned Mua’zin Saeed Al-Zuhair of Masjid Al-Rajhi in Makkah to deliver the Adhan for Dhuhr and Asr prayers combined and shortened at Masjid Namira in Arafat for this year’s Hajj season.
7. He will also deliver the call to prayer at Masjid Al-Khaif in Mina from the 10th of Dhul Hijjah until Dhuhr on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
8. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media says full 5G network coverage has now been completed across Masjid al-Haram, Arafat, Mina and Muzdalifah ahead of peak Hajj operations.
9. More than 10,500 Wi-Fi access points have also been installed to provide free internet services for pilgrims across the holy sites.
10. Saudi Arabia says this year’s Arafat sermon will be translated into 35 languages during the 2026 Hajj season.
11. The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque says the initiative is aimed at reaching non-Arabic speaking Muslims worldwide through digital platforms and affiliated channels.

12. Fasting is not permitted on any of the three Days of Tashreeq (11th–13th Dhul-Hijjah), except in specific Hajj-related cases tied to sacrificial obligations.
13. Pilgrims are expected to remain in Mina during the nights of Tashreeq as part of the Hajj rituals, unless they are excused due to valid reasons such as illness or hardship.
14. If a pilgrim completes the stoning on the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah and leaves Mina before sunset, they are permitted to end their Hajj early (ta’ajjul), while staying for the 13th remains preferable.
15. An accepted Hajj is described in authentic Hadith as a complete spiritual reset. The Prophet pbuh said: “Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit obscenity or wrongdoing returns like a newborn baby.”
16. Many pilgrims report a strong spiritual transformation after Hajj, often returning with increased devotion, discipline, and a renewed commitment to worship and cleanliness (taharah).
