Former SGF Offers NAHCON Guidance on Hajj Administration
Yayale Ahmed commends the Commission’s progress under Chairman Ismail Abba Yusuf and stresses the importance of prioritising pilgrims’ welfare.

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, has offered guidance to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on improving Hajj administration and services to Nigerian pilgrims.
Ahmed, also known as Ajiyan Katagum, made the remarks during a courtesy visit to NAHCON Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, at Hajj House in Abuja.

During the visit, the former SGF commended the progress recorded by the Commission under Yusuf’s leadership, expressing satisfaction with the chairman’s agenda, particularly its emphasis on pilgrims’ welfare.
He stressed the importance of sustained attention to pilgrims’ needs in improving their overall Hajj experience.
In response, Ambassador Yusuf described Ahmed as a key stakeholder whose administrative experience, knowledge and insight remained valuable to the Hajj sector.
The NAHCON chairman thanked the former SGF for his visit, continued guidance and interest in the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.
Yusuf assured Ahmed that the Commission remained committed to drawing on the experience of key stakeholders as it pursued measures to reform Hajj administration and improve service delivery.
