FCTA Approves ₦8.45 Million Hajj Fare for 2025 Pilgrims

The Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced the approved fare for the 2025 Hajj as N8,457,685.59k for intending pilgrims from Abuja.

In a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Lawal, intending pilgrims who have already made deposits are expected to complete their payment on or before Thursday, January 30, 2025, to secure their participation in this year’s pilgrimage.

Lawal also advised prospective pilgrims who have not yet made deposits to make full payments before the deadline to book a seat for the religious journey. He emphasized that all payments must be made via bank drafts, as cash transactions will not be entertained.

He explained that the payments need to be concluded promptly to enable the Board to finalize the list of intending pilgrims and remit the funds to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The Board has also initiated negotiations with service providers in Saudi Arabia to ensure quality feeding and suitable accommodation for pilgrims in Makkah. These negotiations, Lawal noted, align with the Board’s commitment to delivering the best services to the FCT contingent, in line with the New Hope Agenda of the current administration.

Intending pilgrims are encouraged to act promptly to avoid missing the opportunity to partake in this year’s Hajj exercise.
