1. In anticipation of the influx of pilgrims from Makkah to Al Madīnah in the hot weather. The Prophet’s Mosque was equipped with 15,000 Zamzam water dispensers, 85 air conditioning units, 606 ventilation fans, and 424 mist fans, all working harmoniously to protect pilgrims from high temperatures.

2. Saudi authorities prepared 180 escalators, 17 elevators and 26 special prayer rooms to cater to the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in Al Madīnah. Additionally 3,000 manual wheelchairs have been provided for transporting them.

3. Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs provided approximately 1.5 million religious services which benefitted over 2 million pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors during this year’s Hajj season from the beginning of Dhu al-Qa’adah till the end of the Hajj season.

4. More than 600 male and female preachers and translators participated in religious services to pilgrims in the Hajj season.

5. Ahead of the Hajj exercise, more than 4,700 health inspection tours were conducted in Jeddah.

6. Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais has praised the women’s sectors at the Two Holy Mosques for exceptional religious service provided to female pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1445 AH.

7. The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh has expressed gratitude to King Salman for sponsoring 3,322 people from 88 countries to perform Hajj this year 1445 AH under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program for Hajj, Umrah and Visitation.

8. The Mashā’ir Train, a metro service operating strictly within Makkah and the Holy sites transported more than 2.2 million passengers between the nine stations in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, in 2,206 trip from the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah to the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.

9. Nigerian Amirul Hajj Engr Suleiman Umar, has described this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia as one of the best in recent years while visiting pilgrims and he also urged pilgrims to be patient with the return plan.

10. Lagos State Pilgrim Welfare Board at a press briefing organized in Makkah on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 urged the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to convene a meeting with all states to discuss the challenges faced during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage and how to avoid a reoccurrence.

11. Nasarawa State pilgrims have fully returned making it the first state to complete airlift.

12. 428 Kebbi pilgrims were flown by Flynas from Jeddah to Birnin-Kebbi at 2:28 AM.

13. A MaxAir flight departed Jeddah to Lagos at 6:27AM with 548 Oyo Pilgrims and 10 Officials.

14. Another batch of 423 Ogun State pilgrims, have arrived Lagos safely in addition to 40 pilgrims who arrived earlier.

15. NAHCON airlifts 8,173 pilgrims in 19 return flights to Nigeria.
