1. The National Water Company (NWC) in Saudi Arabia successfully distributed over 45 million cubic meters of water to pilgrims across the holy sites.

2. Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah celebrated the successful conclusion of the 1445 Hajj season with a prestigious “Misk Closing Ceremony” in Makkah Tuesday 19th of June 2024. It announced the official commencement of preparations for the next Hajj season.

3. The first group of pilgrims who have completed their Hajj rites troop to Al Madīnah on visitation to the Prophet’s Mosque and historical landmarks deeply connected to the Prophet’s life.

3. Pilgrims who have successfully completed their Hajj rituals in Makkah begin departure to their home countries.

4. The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announced the supply of unprecedented peak electrical loads during the 1445 Hajj season. It suceessfully supplied 5,361 megawatts to Makkah, 454 megawatts to Arafat and 343 megawatts to Mina.

5. Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman congratulates the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the success of this year’s Hajj season 1445.

6. Over 400 million food items were delivered to pilgrims during the Hajj season 1445 AH. This includes 84 million loaves of bread, 160 million packages of milk and juice and over 147 million bottles of water.

7. About 337 million voice calls and over 65,000 Terrabyte of data was consumed during the 1445 Hajj exercise.

8. The Saudi Red Crescent Authority launched its second-phase plan for Hajj in Al Madīnah. It already has 45 fully equipped medical centers, staffed by about 700 medical professionals and more than 500 volunteers, with a fleet of over 70 ambulances, a mass-casualty bus, and an air ambulance service to serve pilgrims.

9. The Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulates the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the success of the 1445 AH Hajj season.

10. The National Meteorological Center in Saudi Arabia has announced that the next Hajj season (2025) will be the last Hajj to fall in summer for the next 17 years.

11. Saudi Ministry of Health used robots programmed to speak 96 languages to deploy health information in Al Madīnah.

12. Plateau state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board announced the death of Ismaila Musa, a Pilgrim from Plateau State in Makkah today. This raises the Nigerian pilgrims’ death toll to 10.

13. On 16th June, 2024, NAHCON officials handed over to the Saudi police 2 illegal Nigerian migrants Muhammed Umar and Nazifi Tasi’u Garba over infiltration of pilgrims’ tents in Mina. Their biometrics were taken and a fine of 10,000 SAR was imposed on them to be paid whenever they are leaving the Country.

14. The Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, attended the annual farewell event organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Makkah to mark the end of the 1445 Hajj season.

15. The NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, conducted a visitation exercise to the Nigerian Pilgrims’ tents in Muna. He visited Delta, FCT, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Taraba States’ tent following their return from Arafah.

16. In a similar vein, Prince Anofiu Olanrewaju Elegushi, the NAHCON Operations Commissioner, also visited Nigerian Pilgrims’ tents in Mina. He visited Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Kwara states and the private tour operators pilgrims.

17. The Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has bestowed a largesse of 300 Riyals to each pilgrim from his state while also calling for NAHCON to stop the monopolization of Hajj affairs and allow State pilgrims welfare board to take full control.

18. NAHCON promises delivery of 5 litres of Zamzam water to Nigeria on behalf of each Nigerian pilgrim.

19. NAHCON warns against excess luggage and begs Nigerian pilgrims to stay within the 40 Kg load allowed for each pilgrim.

20. Nigerian pilgrims will begin departure to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia on Saturday June 22, 2024.
