1. The National Water Company (NWC) in Saudi Arabia pumped and distributed close to one billion liters of water to Makkah and the other holy sites on the Day of Arafah.

2. 3,322 pilgrims from 88 different countries that are part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit attended ‘Arafah yesterday.

3. Makkah authorities help lost pilgrims find their way to the entrances and exits of the Grand Mosque and the holy sites 24/7.

4. 225 cases of pilgrims suffering from heat stress and fatigue were admitted and treated yesterday at ‘Arafah.

5. 322,901 pilgrims under the Makkah Route Initiative from Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Côte d’Ivoire attended ‘Arafah yesterday.

6. Saudi Ministry of Health advised pilgrims to avoid going out and exposing themselves to sunlight, walking on hot surfaces, or touching them while performing their rituals in Mina and during the ritual of stoning the devil. This advice is to prevent sunstroke and heat exhaustion.

7. Over 2 million cards providing vital information on pilgrim data, housing, and service providers were issued this Hajj season under the “Nusuk Card” initiative.

8. Over 20,000 buses, and a dedicated workforce of 100,000, including drivers, field guides, and dispatch teams were dispatched to transport pilgrims to Arafah yesterday. The efficiency of the operation enabled all pilgrims to reached Arafat by 10:30 AM yesterday.

9. 11,000 square meters of the surrounding roads in the holy sites and surrounding plazas were coated in white to reduce heat and provide a more comfortable environment for pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease.

10. The pilgrims performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers combined, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), and spent the night in Muzdalifah.

11. Muslims gathered for the Eīd ul Adhā prayers prayer in over 12,000 mosques in Saudi Arabia, including the Masjidil Harām in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Al Madīnah.

12. More than 1.5 million pilgrims from around 180 countries prayed the Eīd ul Adhā prayers this morning at the Masjidil Harām in Makkah, after staying overnight at the holy site of Muzdalifah as part of the Hajj rituals.

13. Saudi authorities have allocated 11 shuttle bus routes and provided 2,460 buses for transporting pilgrims between the Holy sites and the Grand Mosque during the days of Tashreeq of the Hajj season 1445 AH.

14. Over 2,000 volunteers participated in the “Tahhirr Baity” (Clean My House) initiative organized by authorities in Makkah. These volunteers have helped sanitize the public environment in Makkah. The volunteers have contributed about 8,900 hours since the beginning of the Hajj exercise.

15. A National prayer session was organised by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) yesterday 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, on the Plain of Arafah. The Supplications’ session were held in various languages Arabic, English, Fulfulde, Hausa, Igbo, Kanuri, Nupe and Yoruba.

16. Despite security challenges in some parts of the state and the high cost of Hajj fare this year, Kaduna State still has the highest number of pilgrims in the country – Amirul Hajj

17. Early completion of airlifts of Nigerian Hajj pilgrims enabled state pilgrims’ welfare boards to inspect tents and bed spaces of their pilgrims.

18. NAHCON recorded 95% success in movement from Minā to Arafah.

19. Nigerian pilgrims departed Arafah to spend the night at Muzdalifah yesterday.

20. NAHCON begs pilgrims to register complaints available officials around rather than social media.
