1. Pilgrims leave Mina for ‘Arafah from last night.

2. Saudi authorities made elaborate preparations for the Day of Arafah at Namira Mosque in the Arafat area. These include covering the mosque with luxurious carpets, providing digital interactive guidance screens and Wi-Fi, and preparing 1,000 restrooms to ensure comfort and peace of mind for pilgrims in this Hajj exercise.

3. 1,833,164 pilgrims were at Arafah this year, of whom 1,611,310 from outside the Kingdom. Domestic pilgrims, both citizens and residents, numbered 221,854.

4. Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muayqly delivered the ‘Arafah Khutbah today at Namirah mosque in Arafah.

5. The translation of the Arafat sermon this year was translated into 20 languages and reached 621 million listeners worldwide.

6. Makkah security forces apprehendeds another 25 individuals—seven residents and 18 citizens—who violated Hajj regulations by transporting, yesterday June 14, 103 individuals attempting to perform Hajj without a permit.

7. Saudi Ministry of Health warned pilgrims to avoid exposure to some mountainous areas in Arafah and Mina as temperature could reach 72 degrees Celsius.

8. Saudi Arabia inaugurates pilotless air taxi in Makkah on Wednesday with the aim of serving Hajj pilgrims.

9. The National Water Company (NWC) distributed almost a million cubic meters of water to Makkah and the holy sites on the Day of Tarwiyah

Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Hajj and Umrah Program, listened to the Arafah sermon, delivered by Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muayqly at Namirah Mosque, broadcast to them on large screens at their places of residence, in the Arafat area, which houses 3,322 pilgrims from 88 countries.

11. A total of 366 sick pilgrims were transported from their hospitals in Makkah, Mina, Jeddah, and Taif to do their Hajj rites in Arafah today. The pilgrims were organized into five convoys, transported by 55 buses equipped with medical facilities and accompanied by ambulances and 40 service and support cars.

12. The Saudi Press Agency, the leading Media organization in Saudi Arabia has partnered major international news agencies to cover Hajj Season for 1445AH.

13. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has prepared 917 mosques and prayer halls in Madinah and its affiliated governorates for the Eid Al-Adha prayer this year.

14. Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has cleared 2,112,749 heads of live livestock (sheep, cows, camels) to meet the high demand for livestock during the Hajj season. According to the ministry, of these, 2,097,753 were goats, 10,611 camels, and 4,385 cows.

15. Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais will be the Imām to lead the Eīd ul Adhā prayer and deliver the Eīd sermon at the Masjidil Harām in Makkah while Sheikh Dr. Khalid Al-Muhanna will be the Imām leading the Eid Al-Adha prayer and deliver the Eid sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque in Al Madīnah.

16. NAHCON officials on Friday apprehended two Nigerian impostors, Abu Mahmud and Ismaila Yahaya, posing as pilgrims at the Muna camp in Saudi Arabia. The fake pilgrims were found wearing counterfeit Nusuk Identification cards and donning the traditional white attire worn by Hajj pilgrims in an attempt to blend in with the crowd.

17. A female pilgrim from Kaduna State Hajiya Asmau Muhammad-Ladan passed away yesterday Friday 14th June, 2024 at the King Fahd hospital in Makkah. This raises the death toll for Nigerian pilgrims to 9.
