Breaking: NAHCON completes outbound flights for 2024 Hajj

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, Nigeria’s regulatory body on Hajj operations, in unprecedented performances, has concluded the outbound flights for Hajj 2024.

This revelation came at a press briefing held at the Hajj House in Abuja today. The press briefing was to bring to a close, the on shore activities of the Management and staff of the Commission, for this year’s Hajj operations.

Addressing the press, the Chairman of the Commission, Malam Jalal Arabi, CON, fwc, thanked Allah for the feat and all stakeholders, particularly ,President Bola Tinubu GCFR , the Vice President, Malam Kassim Shettima GCON for the uncommon attention given to the Commission. He also appreciated the efforts of various state governors, who offered various kinds of financial assistance and support to the pilgrims.

Arabi, at the press briefing, catalogued the challenges surmounted by the Commission to achieve the feat of flying out the Pilgrims in record time. One of such was the completion of visas for the Pilgrims early enough before the commcement of flights and ensured the Basic Travelling Allowance of Pilgrims, which hitched, did not become an issue too knotty to addressed.

Today marked the end of outbound flights for Nigerian Pilgrims to this year’s pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. The Commission through the three Air carriers contracted for the journey flew 52,080 Nigerians out for the pilgrimage in 125 flights. And it came 72 hours before the deadline, set by Saudi Arabia Hajj Authorities..

The return journey is expected to start on 22 June 2004.
